 My Client, a leading environmental consultancy is offering an exciting opportunity for a Farm Resource Efficiency Consultant. The ideal candidate will provide resource efficiency (energy, water, waste and carbon) services to clients within the farming industry. You will advise clients on process improvements and capital investment that deliver efficiency benefits, financial savings and reduce environmental impacts from current farm practice.The successful candidates will have a strong track record in providing resource efficiency consultancy to farmers and grower businesses. You will be an excellent communicator with a good understanding of low carbon technologies and should have experience of using investment appraisal techniques to support decision making. The ideal candidate should also have a good knowledge of the business support environment. Experience and skills- Engineering graduate (or equivalent). Chartered Engineer or equivalent status will be viewed favourably- A good understanding of policy and business drivers for resource efficiency with expertise of providing resource efficiency advice and investment appraisal- Agricultural industry experience with a good understanding of farming systems and resource efficiency opportunities relating to common processes such as grain drying, milk production, potato storage.- Basic understanding of renewable energy technologies wind, PV, anaerobic digestion- Minimum five years' work experience - Track record of business development and sales- Strong analytical, report writing and verbal presentation skills. - Excellent communication skills.- A full UK driving licence is essential.- Carbon Trust accreditation would be an advantage- FACTS registration would be an advantageIf you wish to apply for this fantastic opportunity contact James on 01612768135 for an initial non-committal discussion regarding this and other possible opportunities.
