 A national main contractor currently has a requirement for a Senior Planner to work on large scale building projects in Central London. The role will involve working on multiple new build and design and build schemes (with the odd complicated refurbishment) worth roughly between £15m and £90m each.Based from their new Central London office, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the planning function on schemes that will likely include mixed-use developments, heritage projects, hotels, commercial buildings and various others. The role will include creating detailed programmes, monitoring/updating progress, progress reporting, monitoring sub-contractors, liaising with clients and senior management, critical path analysis, etc.The initial project is likely to be a complicated £50m school project, involving temporary building construction, demolition and then new build consisting of concrete frame, complicated cladding, etc.Our client will shortly be opening new offices in Central London and as they continue to grow their Southern operations, opportunities for career progression within the business are likely to be available.Ideally, our client is seeking someone with the following experience:- 7-10 years planning experience within the UK construction sector.- Proficiency with Asta Powerproject software.- Main contractor experience.- Exposure of working on large scale projects (£30m+).- An engineering or construction related degree would be a distinct advantage.- Eligible to work in the UK.In return, our client will offer a competitive basic salary of up between £45,000 and £60,000 per annum plus an executive car/allowance, pension, health and flexi benefits.Apply now for further details.Services advertised by Project Resource are that of an employment business and/or agency.
