 A regional main contractor with offices across the South East, currently has a requirement for a Senior Planner to be based in Merton (South London). This role is with a view to becoming the Head of Planning when the current manager moves on in circa 18 months time.Our client are a smaller regional contractor with a turnover of less than £100m per annum. A large portion of their work falls within the commercial, social housing, leisure and private housing areas with typical projects worth anything from £1m to £10m per annum.The initial role will be to join the business as a Senior Planner, managing two or three projects in the London region and ensuring that the planning function is totally fulfilled. Moving forwards, our client is looking for someone to handover the daily running of the planning team to and thus is seeking an ambitious personality, perhaps with some previous management experience.Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following experience:- Significant construction planning experience within the UK.- A relevant construction or engineering degree.- Previous experience of managing teams of planners would be a distinct advantage.- Proficient with all relevant software.- Strong tender and site experience.- Eligible to work in the UK.In return, our client is offering a basic salary of up to £55,000 per annum plus car/allowance, pension, health, etc, and an opportunity to lead the planning team in the future.Apply now for further details.Services advertised by Project Resource are that of an employment business and/or agency.
