Our client, a large international consultancy, currently has a requirement for a Project Planner to join their expanding division in London. They are an internationally-recognised consultancy with ambitious growth plans for the future and are also previous winners of various employee awards over recent years.It is worth noting that despite the recession heavily hitting their workloads in 2008 and 2009, the planning and project management division did not make a single redundancy and now have a very healthy portfolio of work for the next few years. As a result, they are looking to expand current staff levels and are seeking a client-facing Project Planner to be based from their Central London office.Project-involvement will be focused towards mainstream construction schemes although there is a likelihood that you will eventually become involved in work throughout other sectors, including civil engineering, rail and energy.Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following experience:- At least 5 years planning experience within the construction sector and a strong understanding of UK construction processes.- A relevant engineering degree would be advantageous.- Previous experience of working within a consultancy or other client-facing environment would be an advantage, although not essential.- An ambitious individual with good communication skills, capable of building relationships, etc.- Proficiency with project planning software (either Primavera or Powerproject software).- Eligible to work in the UK.Apply now for further details and immediate consideration.Services advertised by Project Resource are that of an employment business and/or agency.
