 A major main UK contractor with a truly global presence, currently has a requirement for a Senior Planner to work on various rail projects in South America - specifically Brazil and Argentina. This is a permanent role only.This is an excellent opportunity to work on large scale infrastructure schemes abroad, with further scope to work on other projects in South America, Australia and Europe in the future.The successful individual will be working on a track scheme involving in excess of 300km of railway in Argentina and worth circa £100m. Another £25m track scheme associated with a local port is also likely to need attention. The role will involve leading the planning function on these projects - creating detailed programmes of work using Primavera P6 software, monitoring/updating progress, critical path analysis, progress reporting, etc.Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following:- At least 5 years planning experience on track-related projects.- Proficiency with Primavera P6 software.- Ability to speak at least one other language aside from English (preferably Spanish or Portugese).- UK-expats or local candidates will be considered.In return, our client will pay a basic salary of up to circa £45,000 per annum plus accomodation, services, subsistence (effectively everything aside from food/drink). Due to the quality of local schooling, it is not recommended for family relocation.
