 My client, one of the leading Energy trading and policy formation and analysis companies in the world is actively recruiting a Senior Consultant as part of their Regulatory & Policy team.The ideal candidate will have developed expertise of issues relating to the development of market arrangements for gas and electricity trading, energy policy formation and analysis and regulation of utilities, network businesses and industry codes. Required skills:*Economic or Mathematic based degree (BSc, MSc or PhD);*an excellent understanding of the legislative background, economic theories and concepts that apply to the operation, regulation and policy formation for the gas and electricity markets in GB, Ireland and across Europe;*proactive approach with clients.*highly numerate;*excellent written English; and*good report writing skills.Desirable skills:*European language.Required attributes:*a creative thinker with an ability to apply knowledge gained to develop creative solutions within the energy markets;*strong team player to work with our dynamic and international group of experts;*manages and maintains contact with clients to build strong relationships;*proven project management skills;*structures work plans with view of budget and resource;*would relish the opportunity to apply extensive practical and theoretical knowledge of energy markets to develop successful, market based solutions in the evolving European energy environment; and looking for new challenges.
