 My client develops, acquires, builds, and operates utility-scale solar and wind power projects creating clean sources of renewable energy to meet the increasing demand for green electricityAs part of continued expansion they are actively seeking a Commercial manager responsible for the management of the commercial and financial analysis function for renewable energy projects (mainly wind and solar PV energy)Responsibilities:*Provide commercial support to Group President & COO and Northern European development team *Market investigation and review of opportunities inside and (where necessary) outside of the Northern Europe region *Management of commercial support and analyst team members *Development of the project financial modelling capability, including systems to ensure ongoing assumptions are valid, consistent and accurate *Undertake market analysis and identification of targets for acquisition and joint venture *Manage and support negotiations and transactions in respect of acquisitions, development JV's and other commercial arrangements *Support project financing activities for fully developed Projects *Liaison with commercial managers and teams in different Element Power offices *Assist in business budgeting and forecasting exercises, in liaison with Project Developers and Element's finance function *Preparation of investment papers for the Board *Other ad-hoc duties Qualifications *Bachelors degree *Track record in leading and supporting renewable energy transactions *Demonstrated prior experience in financial modeling of renewable energy projects, ideally in UK and other Northern European markets *Experience of project financing of power projects, ideally wind energy *Strong analytical and negotiation skills *Self-starter with proven ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams *Willingness to undertake travel *Meticulous attention to detail and impeccable organization skills *Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills If you are interested in this fantastic opportunity contact James McNeaney on 0161 276 8135 for an informal non-committal discussion about this and other possible Renewable Energy positionsAlternatively send a copy of you CV to Jamesm@consort-recruitment.com
