Role & Responsibilities;- Liaising with; Client, Suppliers, Sub Contractors, Internal Departments, Regulatory Bodies and Members of the Local Community, Other persons as necessary to achieve contract objectives.- That the site team are fully aware of the contract and have the capability and resources necessary to achieve contract objectives.- Fulfilling the Contracts Manager responsibilities as laid down in the Company's Health and Safety Policy, Quality/Environmental Plan.- The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.- Ensuring that, in conjunction with the Site Team, changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.- The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Project Manager.- Ensuring that all relevant issues, which cannot be resolved at contract level, are passed for the attention of the Construction Director.- Deliver multiple contracts within programme and budget.- Contracts are executed in accordance with the requirements of legislation, Terms and Conditions of the contract, Health and Safety, Quality/Environmental Plan.- Managing any breaches of discipline or lowering of performance which could adversely affect the profitability of a contract.- All aspects of enquiry including pre-qualification, estimating, design, contract negotiation, contract delivery, and close out.MUST HAVE:- ENGINEERING BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE WITHIN THE RAIL CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE SECTOR - NOT SIGNALLING OR Pway.- Qualified to degree level preferably a member of the ICE.- Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred and it is envisaged that this will have been gained, at least in part, with a Major Contractor.- Successfully delivering civil / rail engineering projects ranging from £250K - £5m on rail buildings and structures.- PTS.Project Resource Limited specialises in the supply of Civil Engineers and Rail professionals to the industry, in the West Midlands as well as the rest of the UK.
