European Electrical Systems Engineer BASIC FUNCTIONS: The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the effectivecontrol and design compliance of the European wind farm electrical systems . The Electrical Engineer directs, and coordinates the programs and activities of the Engineering & System Planning for the accomplishment of established objectives and policies.RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY: Within the limits of the objectives andpolicies established, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for and has commensurate authority toaccomplish the duties set forth below.They may delegate portions of his responsibilities, consistentwith sound operations and authorized policies and procedures,together with proportionate authority for their fulfillment, but hemay not delegate or relinquish any portion of his accountability for results.I.OBJECTIVES*identifying D.N.O requirements throughout Europe; *reading design specifications and technical drawings; *researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and timescales; *working to BS and EN standards; *liaising with others in the Engineering and System Planning group; *liaising with clients, contractors and Utilities; *attending meetings on site; *Liaise with Project Information and Construction managers;*designing and conducting tests where necessary; *analyzing and interpreting test data; *proposing modifications and retesting products; *qualifying the final equipment selection or system; *preparing product documentation, writing reports and giving presentations; *monitor electrical infrastructure in use so as to improve on future design.II. FINANCE1. Overview wind farm electrical equipment purchase to achieve budget goals.2.Keep up to date with the Company financial status and commitmentsin conjunction with the Director, Construction.3. Ensures that physical assets, and other property ofthe company are appropriately safeguarded andadministered.III. OPERATIONS 1. Maintains a continuing study of the industry, and technological development and trends, and take full advantage of the long-range potentials of the business. 2. Maintains appropriate contacts and develops necessary relations with external companies, industry organizations and other organizations which have an influence on the attainment of meeting the company objectives. IV. REQUIREMENTS To be qualified to a minimum of HNC level in Electrical Engineering; be a member of an Electrical Engineering Institute Proven experience in Power Generation System design; design management; HV/LV distribution and control including building services. Network and transmission design experience would be an advantage.Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst staying focused under pressure.Good verbal, written and diagrammatic communication Full Driving license and current in date passport
