 Design Engineer - WindTo be based in Huddersfield Salary is £25k - £35k (Depending upon experience) A major designer & manufacturer of commercial bespoke rotating and fatigue equipment, is now looking to expand their design team. The Design Engineer will support the design of each product including all associated 2D and 3D CAD. You will be involved with internal & external customers and suppliers to support all aspects of customer specific product design/customisation and support to the core design and manufacturing engineers. Responsibilities of Design Engineer * Responsible for product design using Solidworks (Other 3D skills / experience will be considered) * Continuous improvement and quality performance of existing products * Ensure design solutions optimise process capability and capacity * Customer support throughout the product life regarding new application and in use performance * Identification, assessment and implementation of new technology or methodologies * Process support to identity and implement corrective action * Contribute both project engineering and electro/mechanical design experience, taking products from initial client specifications through to manufacturing drawings including bill of materials * Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Manufacturing at all design stages * Detailed checking/analysis of all data / Product test information Knowledge and experience required:*A strong background in an engineering design role*Knowledge of wind turbine technology*Minimum of a HNC / HND in an Engineering capacityIf you feel that you have the right skills and experience then please call me for an informal chat on 0161 276 8135.
