 Role;Major SUB-STATION refurbishment programme and renewal of the National Grid network. Requirements to upgrade and reinforce the HV (132kv - 400kv) power systems including civils works, design and construction/refurbishment of traction substations. Applicants must be Chartered or near to achieving their professional status and must have good Reinforced Concrete experience on Civil engineering projects. Role & Responsibilities;- Overall design responsibility for the civil works element on projects within the utility industry.- Hands-on design based role with a degree of team leadership. - Being responsible for delivering a package of work. - Frequent liaison with other disciplines in the design team and the client would be expected.- Check design calculations of designers and other engineers within the team.- Experience in cost estimating.- Ability to work under pressure and to be able to work to dead lines.- Ability to produce conceptual designs, followed by detail design.- Able to manage Cad Technicians.- Develop and sustain good working relationships with customers and employees that contribute to the success of the project and business. MUST HAVE:- Degree Civil Engineering and preferred to be chartered or approaching chartered.- HV Traction Substation / OR Reinforced Concrete Design Experience on Civil Engineering projects.Project Resource Limited specialises in the supply of Civil Engineers and Rail professionals to the industry, in the West Midlands as well as the rest of the UK.
