Senior QS – Civil Engineering – Scotland Job Details

A new opportunity has been created with our client, a national civil engineering contractor.  They are a well-respected and successful firm, who have retained a family feel yet grown to become one of the biggest players in their market.  Continuing success and a full order book mean that they are now recruiting a Senior QS for their regional office in the Central Belt area of Scotland.  You’ll work on live civil engineering schemes to procure and manage subcontractors, monitor and report on costs, and bring the project in on budget.  It’s an interesting position which will see you visiting live construction sites as well as being based in the office.

To be considered, you MUST:

- be qualified to ONC-level or above in civil engineering or construction;

- be able to demonstrate a strong track record as a Senior QS working in the UK civil engineering sector;

- have experience of the ICE and NEC forms of contract;

- possess good client-facing skills -  an ability to communicate persuasively, build rapport, and maximise commercial returns for the company.

In return, you’ll be rewarded with a salary in the range of £48k - £52k + car + 2 x bonuses +private medical + pension.  It’s a growing company, so there are also good career prospects for ambitious individuals.
