Facilities Manager with CAFM experience – Soft FM – Exeter, Devon

THE COMPANY AND SITUATION OVERVIEW:

A leading international provider of critical support services for public authorities and corporate organisations requires an experienced Facilities Manager with strong experience of Soft FM services and additional experience in CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) software. You would be an employee of a private sector service provider, but on-site at a very prestigious public sector client.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

The following experience is essential for this role:

• At least 10 years of management experience within a customer-focussed, multi-functional, service delivery environment
• At least 5 years of experience in Soft Facilities Management (Soft FM)
• Experience of CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) software
• I.T. Literate, with experience of the MS Office suite

Please note the above experience is essential. You require all of the above to be eligible for this role.

Desirable, but not essential, is experience in either of the following:

• Degree
• Professional Membership such as BIFM or BIM or similar business services qualification
• Experience of FSI Concept CAFM Software
• Wider I.T. experience (beyond MSOffice and CAFM)
• Knowledge of catering and catering contracts
• Experience of delivering to SLAs and KPIs

THE ROLE:

Essentially, in this role you will be the manager of Soft Facilities Management Services for this contract. There are actually seventeen soft services here, so you’ll be managing a number of in-house teams through reportees and a couple of subordinate line managers. Working on-site at the client of a service provider, the trick here is to deliver services to contractual requirements whilst keeping it profitable for your employer! Are you up to it?

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The next step for this person career-wise is to move up in to the role of Director of Services. Longer term opportunities from this role include managing an entire contract of your own, or in to any one of a number of areas such as the Bid Team or Service Development Team. This is a long-term contract so there is relative job security inherent. This is a growing company in which, for the right person, “the world’s their oyster.”
